NABP’s Drug Distributor Accreditation, formerly known as Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributor (VAWD), is for facilities engaged in wholesale drug distribution.
NABP accreditation helps ensure that the wholesale distribution facility operates legitimately, is licensed in good standing, and is employing security and best practices for safely distributing prescription drugs from manufacturers to pharmacies and other institutions.
SWDRx is proud to display our NABP accreditation representing that our procedures and processes are in total compliance with all PDMA and FDA guidelines and with all relevant provisions of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act.
To become NABP-accredited and display the NABP Seal, facilities must undergo a criteria compliance review, including:
- A thorough review of operating policies and procedures;
- Licensure verification
- A survey of a facility’s operations
- Screening through the NABP Clearinghouse
